Influenza Vaccine
Administered in fall, preferably November, repeated
yearly. 2-doses of split vaccine at
least four weeks apart for children 12 or younger. 1 dose split of whole vaccine for children over 12.
(Contraindicated in people with anaphylactic
hypersensitivity to eggs.)
May be given with other immunizations,
but@at a different site.
Pneumovax
Recommended in children 2 or older with sickle cell disease,
functional or anatomic asplenia, nephritic syndrome, HIV, and Hodgkins before
beginning cytoreduction therapy.
Hep B & Hib may be combined = combavax
