Standard Sedation Orders

1)    EMLA creame apply @ least 20 min before procedure and/or

2)   Chloral hydrate 40-70 mg/kg PO/Pr times one and/or

3)   Morphine Sulfate .1 mg/kg/dose q 2-3 hours times 2 and/or

4)   Sat monitor times 2-4 hours

a.     Fentyl 1-4 ug/kg q 10 minutes times 4 or

b.     Midolazam .05 mg/kg/dose q 2-3 minutes times 2

5)   Call myself if more than one of the above drugs are required (except EMLA)

6)   Imaging to confirm Line Placement

7)   Consult Dr Patel et al @ the discretion of nursing staff or IV team for Line Placement @ his convienence
